The expansion project, also known as the Pueblo Viejo Dominicana Corporation (PVDC) project, involves the construction of a new processing facility to increase the mine’s production capacity. The project is expected to increase the mine’s overall gold production by approximately 30%, and is expected to have a total cost of approximately $3.7 billion.
